We think real estate data deserves better than a plugin silo.
Barbican is built by a small, standards-obsessed engineering team on a simple belief: your listings, agents and offices belong in the open standard the industry already runs on — not locked inside custom post types you can never get back out.
Why we built Barbican
Most WordPress real estate plugins bend property data into generic posts and map fields by hand. It works until it doesn't — the moment you need to talk to an MLS, move your data, or integrate another system, the shortcuts show.
We took the opposite approach. Barbican stores everything in theRESO Data Dictionary — the same standard the MLS uses — and serves it over a real RESO Web API. Your data is correct, portable, and yours, from the first listing. On top of that we ship ready-made WordPress blocks so you can build listing pages, agent profiles and open houses without touching code.
Free and open at the core, with a paidMLS Import add-on and hands-on consulting for teams that want help getting standards-compliant.
Built by certified engineers.
Barbican is engineered by people who do this for a living — with credentials in cloud architecture, container orchestration and backend development to back it up.
